Fixed Income Trader, California

Primary responsibilities include:

• Executing investment decisions and investing client assets via primary and secondary markets

• Communicating verbally and in writing with other traders, analysts and portfolio managers, providing updates on market developments and trade execution

• Monitoring valuation and fundamental parameters of global credit markets to identify potential investment ideas and inform portfolio decision making

• Modeling and allocating trades across large groups of accounts, consistent with client guidelines and portfolio targets across mandates

• Coordinating with operations department to ensure efficient and timely setup and settlement of securities

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with broker dealers and other market participants

Candidates should have:

• 2+ years of fixed income market work experience, with experience trading credit products strongly preferred

• B.S. or B.A. degree with an excellent academic record

• Experience and/or a demonstrated interest in investment analysis

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment

• Time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail

• Proven ability to work independently

• Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Quantitative and analytical skills, including strong Excel knowledge

• Experience with Order Management System workflows

• Strong Bloomberg knowledge and familiarity with various Electronic Communications Networks

• CFA designation or established interest in obtaining the CFA designationúas pericula.
